Owego Police are investigating damage done to a bridal shop on North Avenue. Around 6:30 PM Wednesday officers responded to 57 North Avenue where a plate glass window had been shot out of a 1st floor storefront. Officers determined that it was shattered by a “BB” gun. A man from a third story apartment across the street was taken into custody a couple of hours later based on information from the store owner, building owner, and residents. Officers located the man in his apartment across the street and recovered a BB gun and matching pellets from the man’s apartment that are believed to have been used in the incident. Both buildings are owned by the same person. No one was injured. The store owner says only the glass was damaged.
