Spring semester classes start Wednesday for 18,100 students at Binghamton University. On anything but a “spring”-like day, students returned to the Vestal campus amid snow flurries, cold temperatures and gusty winds when dormitories reopened on Sunday. Perhaps the weather will be spring-like when students take spring break from April 4-12. Graduation weekend is May 15-17.
MARTIN LUTHER KING WEEK
Spring semester started with Martin Luther King Week on campus. MLK Week includes events designed to foster inclusive community building and transformative learning opportunities that enhance Binghamton’s social and cultural impact. The week aims to help Bearcats become more “world-wise” through engagement in and exploration of human and civil rights, forging connections with written and living history, and developing skills to become innovative change makers. This year’s theme is “Working Together to Raise Us All.”
