Heaven L. Parrish, age 20 of Smithville Flats, NY has been arrested by New York State Police on January 25 and charged with the felonies of Rape in the second degree, Criminal Sexual Act in the second degree and two counts of the misdemeanor Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
The arrest comes after State Police in Norwich investigated an anonymous complaint of Parrish possibly having a sexual relationship with a child under the age of fifteen.
An investigation revealed that Parrish did have sexual contact with the underage child on two separate occasions in the Village of Oxford in early 2018. Parrish was charged with the above-mentioned crimes and arraigned in the Town of Norwich Court where she was remanded to the Chenango County jail on $5,000 cash bail.
An order of protection was also issued by the judge to the victim. The investigation is on-going.
