“Dappled Things: An Exhibition of Gratitude” is Annamarie Sullivan’s visual expression of gratitude for God’s beautiful and motley creations, executed in oil on canvas and gesso board. This exhibition will open on Friday, Dec. 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Tioga Arts Council, 179 Front St., Owego, during Lights on the River. The show will run until Dec. 22 during the council’s standard business hours Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. or by appointment.
Gratitude is an appropriate theme for the holidays and Sullivan captures it well. It is a theme also reflected in her decision to donate proceeds to SUNY Broome’s Health for Haiti Project. You can buy local art while supporting a worthy cause abroad.
