Wed, Aug 21 from 6:00pm to 6:00pm
Candor Free Library
2 Bank St., Candor, NY

Candor Free Library’s summer reading program closes Wednesday, August 21 at 6pm by exploring the planets. A representative from Cornell Spacecraft Planetary Imaging Facility will present a tour of planets, including some hands-on activities. The program is free.

There’s still time fill out reading tickets and drop them in the appropriate tin for an end-of-summer drawing for a gift certificate to Barnes & Noble. Some “color it yourself” book bags are still available.

Summer vacation may be coming to an end but hot days are still here for a few weeks. Visit the library where the air-conditioner is working and the wireless is always on. Check out the Empire Pass for free entry to a state park.

Candor Free Library is located at 2 Bank Street behind the Village Hall. Library hours are: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2-5 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon, 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10 a.m.- noon and 2-4 p.m.
