Joe Biden’s presidential campaign changed its name to “Harris for President” on Sunday according to paperwork filed with the Federal Election Commission.
That means Vice President Kamala Harris will inherit Biden’s campaign finances. As of June 30, the Harris for President reported having $95.9 million “cash on hand” while Trump’s presidential campaign reported having $128.1 million “cash on hand.”
ActBlue, a campaign fundraising platform for Democrats, stated as of 9 p.m. Sunday, supporters for Harris donated $46.7 million for her campaign launch, which ActBlue described as “the biggest fundraising day of the 2024 cycle.”
Biden dropped out of the race for president on Sunday. He endorsed his vice president as his successor for the Democratic party.
