The Corning man who pled guilty to killing his wife will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

A judge handed down a life sentence without parole to Lloyd Neurauter on Tuesday.

His first-degree murder charge came after killing his ex-wife Michele last year, with help from his daughter. At sentencing, Neurauter apologized for what he did, and said he understands the consequences of his actions. Neurauter has three daughters. He also asked the judge to show mercy during his daughter’s sentencing, which is scheduled for December 10.
