Binghamton Police Look for Tricyclist in Church Burglary

Binghamton police are looking for a suspect caught on surveillance video in connection to a burglary at First Presbyterian Church. Police provided this report: On Saturday, July 20 at 11:00 a.m., Binghamton police patrols responded to 4 Floral Avenue at the First Presbyterian Church of Johnson City, which despite its name is located in the City of Binghamton, for the report of a burglary.

Upon investigation, evidence of a burglary was discovered. Detectivies determined the suspect was riding an adult-sized tricycle style bike when he arrived at the church. The male suspect entered the building, taking at the minimum keys to a vehicle in the parking lot. The suspect then left the building, taking the vehicle in the parking lot as well as the tricycle that he brought to the location.

The male suspect is described as having a thin build, some facial hair and earrings. The stolen vehicle information is a Blue Kia Sedona Van with NY Registration CEN7465.

The investigation is ongoing. Detectives urge anyone with information to contact the Binghamton Police Detective Division at (607) 772-7080. Tipsters will remain anonymous.
