JC Looking to Share More Services in 2011

The Village of Johnson City will look to share more services in 2011.
Mayor Dennis Hannon says he hopes that the village will be able to share code enforcement with the Town of Union next year and create a joint fire district with the Village of Endicott.
He praised the board’s efforts in agreeing this year to share a police chief with Binghamton and a fire chief with Endicott. The board also passed a resolution Tuesday to share radio frequencies with Broome County.
Mayor Hannon says their first order of business in 2011 will be the next village budget.
