Two Conklin men have been charged in separate incidents for having stolen weapons. The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force said 34-year-old John Finnerty Jr. was arrested after a traffic stop. According to investigators, he was in possession of a stolen Cobra Enterprises semi-automatic handgun. He’s facing several charges including criminal possession of a weapon.
34-year-old Corey Derigo was also arrested on weapons charges. Police said he was taken into custody at a Binghamton home. According to investigators, he had a stolen Taurus semi-automatic handgun. Derigo is waiting to be arraigned on a separate charge, in Johnson City.
