The New York State Department of Transportation says that construction work for the Prospect Mountain Construction project will affect traffic in the city of Binghamton, beginning this week. Effective Wednesday, there will be a long-term temporary traffic pattern in place on NY 7 between Robinson and Bevier streets while crews complete reconstruction of the roadway median. On Wednesday, the NY 7 North on-ramp from Robinson Street will be closed long-term. A signed detour will be in place. Also, I-81 South Exit 4N (Port Dickinson) will be closed long-term as well.
