Endicott Man Arrested in Robbery of the CITGO Store

The Endicott Police arrested Joseph Ravenell, 19, of Endicott for one felony count of Attempted Robbery.
Thursday morning at about 7AM the Endicott Police responded to a robbery in progress at the Quickway/ CITGO Convenience Store on E. Main Street.
The female clerk at the store reported that a black male entered the store, displayed a large butcher knife and demanded that she put cigarettes in a plastic bag.
A responding patrol observed Ravenell, who matched the suspects description.
When police approached Ravenell, he fled on foot.
Approximately 15 minutes later Ravenell was found hiding in the basement at 312 Grant Ave. and was taken into custody.
Ravenell was arraigned in the Village of Endicott court and remanded to the Broome County Jail without bail.
