The former Owego-Apalachin Administration Building and onetime Talcott Street School was demolished yesterday. It has been vacant since the Flood of 2011 damaged it beyond repair. Built as an elementary school for residents of the village’s “Flats” neighborhood, it was later turned into the district offices and also housed the board of education meeting room. The building is being demolished with FEMA funds, and the district has built their new offices on the main campus.
