Air Quality Health Advisory Continues

We continue to have an Air quality health advisory in the region which ranged from Unhealthy to Dangerous on Wednesday. The air quality index ranged from the 100s to high 400s in areas of New York and Pennsylvania. Poor air quality conditions are expected to continue through Thursday. Particle pollution causes a number of serious health problems, including coughing, wheezing, reduced lung function, asthma attacks, heart attacks and strokes. It also is linked to early death in people with heart or lung disease.Most at risk are the young and the elderly plus those with respiratory conditions. If you must be outside we recommend that you wear an N95 masks (not a cloth mask),Limit the amount of time you are outdoors and take frequent breaks indoors.
