The Elmira woman who prompted an Amber Alert after reporting that her son was kidnapped pleaded guilty to a charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
Stephanie Davila entered the plea last week and was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
Davila claimed her three-year-old son had been kidnapped but police later determined that she had given consent to another man to take her son.
The boy was found safe near Rochester about 12 hours after he was reported missing.
