The Cortland County Sheriff’s Department has made an arrest in the April 17th burglary of the Ukrainian Church in Cortlandville.
James Kastenhuber, 21, was arrested for stealing a purse and causing damage at the church.
Investigators tracked the suspect down after stolen checks were cashed at a local bank.
Kastenhuber was arrested while in jail in Schuyler County on unrelated charges.
He has been arraigned on numerous charges in connection with the burglary and was jailed on $1,500 bail.
