Auburn Prisoner Turns Down Heart Transplant

Convicted rapist Kenneth Pike of Auburn, has turned down a heart transplant that would have cost New York taxpayers about $800,000.
Pike was convicted in Cayuga Court for the rape of a 12 year old relative in 1996.
He was sentenced to a jail term of 18 to 54 years.
Pike reportedly changed his mind about the transplant after news reports surfaced, creating a firestorm of controversy.
