It appears that Anthony Brindisi has won the race for the 22nd district seat in Congress. Brindisi increased his lead to 3,178 votes over Clausia Tenney, following the completion of the absentee ballot tabulation in Madison, Cortland, Herkimer, Oswego, and Broome counties. Claudia Tenney needs to win 78% of the remaining absentee ballots. She has been receiving about 39% of the absentee count so far. Oneida, Tioga, and Chenango counties are expected to finish counting votes this week. Most media outlets have called the race for Brindisi.
