Carrie Coates Whitmore has been named the Director of Continuing Education and Workforce Development at Tompkins Cortland Community College. She replaces Martha Hubbard, who retired in December after 22 years at the College. Whitmore worked as Hubbard’s assistant since 2012. In her new role, she will lead the College’s efforts to provide professional development opportunities to the community, both in classroom settings and through customized training offered to local organizations. She says she is looking forward to expanding on the many relationships the college enjoys with business and non-profit partners. She added that it’s important to be open to new opportunities on how the College can work to serve the professional development needs in the community.”
