The Broome County Sheriff’s Office has arrested David Gatto, 49, and charged him with third degree rape.
Detectives say Gatto had sex with a 16-year-old in his Colesville home early last year.
Gatto is a Harpursville Central School Teacher.
Gatto was arraigned in the Town of Chenango Court and is being held in the Broome County Correctional Facility without bail.
The sheriff’s office is still investigating Gatto and asks anyone with pertinent information to contact Detective John Harder at (607) 778-1186
