It’s high school graduation time. In Chemung County, the sheriff says they are ready to take action. The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office, the Chemung County Stop-DWI Program, along with law enforcement partners in the county want everyone to know that they have been and will continue to take steps to ensure that graduation is a time of happiness and not marked by tragedy.
Law enforcement officers have been ramping up enforcement during this time to help ensure that roadways are safe for graduates, as well as for everyone on the roadways. Enhanced DWI patrols have been and will continue to be out in full force working to keep intoxicated drivers off the road and enforcing cell phone use / texting while driving, speeding, as well as any other laws pertaining to the safety of our roadways.
