The man accused of murdering an Elmira man on May 1st has been indicted by a grand jury. 20 year old Louis Duffy has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon. Prosecutors say Duffy shot Clinton “Billy” Lewis with a 40 caliber handgun at Lewis’ home on North Main Street. They say Lewis and Duffy had mutual friends and knew each other for a few months. Duffy is being held at the Chemung County Jail without bail. He’s due back in court in June.
