Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested and charged a Town of Hamden man with two counts of felony Falsifying Business Records and two counts of Criminal Purchase of a Weapon.
Jonathan C. Gutliph, 24, was arrested following an investigation that disclosed that on two separate occasions, Gutliph knowingly made false entries on Firearms Transaction Records in relation to his purchase of rifles and shotguns.
At the time of those firearm purchase transactions Gutliph was prohibited by law from purchasing a firearm.
Gultiph was arraigned in the Town of Delhi Court, entered pleas of guilty to reduced charges of Falsifying Business Records in the Second Degree and was remanded to the Delaware County Jail to serve a six month sentence.
