Chales Bevins, 23 of Buckhannon, West Virginia, died Sunday in an accident at a gas well site in Chenango County.
Bevins was directing a forklift driver, when the forklift hit a rut and pinned him against a trailer.
He was taken to Upstate Hospital in Syracuse and died during surgery.
The employees of Braden Drilling were preparing the site for drilling.
Baden is a contractor for Norse Energy, owne of the well site.
