Flood Watch Issued by National Weather Service

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch until 11AM this morning. The watch is for the following counties: Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Madison, Northern Oneida, Onondaga, Otsego, Schuyler, Seneca, Southern Cayuga, Southern Oneida, Tompkins, and Yates. Steady rain is expected to intensify, and central New York may see 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts possible.

An early warning for later this week – Hurricane Florence is expected to intensify into a major hurricane and is expected to hot the area of the border between North and South Carolina on Thursday. It is early, but a turn to the north towards Pennsylvania and New York is a distinct possibility. WEBO will be monitoring the hurricane’s track closely and we will keep you informed.
