It’s an absolutely heart wrenching story that is developing on Schuyler Street in Utica where earlier Monday morning, a mother and her three children, ages four, two and one were killed in their duplex home.
Neighbors and friends are gathering in the streets consoling one another and mourning this tragic loss. Meanwhile fire officials remain on scene making sure that the fire is out. The building was still smoking shortly after the fire was extinguished.
The front of the building is charred. Fire crews are still working to determine what caused this horrific blaze. It could be several hours, possibly longer before they are able to determine a cause.
