Guthrie has awarded $28,000 to support local mental health and recovery programs across the region.
$20,000 of that funding will benefit the Abuse and Rape Crisis Center in Towanda to improve access to mental health care for survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Bradford County, eliminating transportation and financial barriers.
The remainder of the funding will support recovery programs in Groton and Cortland, New York.
Guthrie says this funding aligns with its focus on mental health; substance use disorders, obesity, and cancer screening and prevention – all priorities identified through its Community Health Needs Assessment.
