More and more patients are using online tools to manage their health care and interact with their care providers. Guthrie’s electronic medical record system, eGuthrie, recently reached a milestone of 100,000 users. Guthrie said in a press release that it was the first in the region to offer patients electronic access to their health information. The medical provider said it helps patients participate in their own care and empowers them to be knowledgeable about the health issues that impact them. This tool connects Guthrie patients to their family physician, as well as most Guthrie specialists and sub-specialists.
