A late night fire in Chenango County destroyed a mobile home, a barn and a car in Coventry. It happened at approximately 11:30 last night at 836 State Highway 235. Multiple departments were called in for mutual aid. Both the home and barn were nearly burned to the ground by the time crews got there. But firefighters didn’t face any major problems putting the fire out. The fire chief said no one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. Crews are trying to determine if there was another vehicle parked in the barn that was burned. The home was currently in the process of being remodeled. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
