$2 million in Pennsylvania Housing Affordability and Rehabilitation Enhancement funding will be distributed across Bradford, Sullivan, Tioga, Lycoming, and Union counties.

$300,000 of that funding will go to Trehab’s Homeownership Assistance Program for Bradford County.

The PHFA helps provide affordable homeownership and rental housing for low to moderate income families, those with special housing needs, and older adults. It’s primarily funded through the sale of securities and fees paid by program users.

State Sen. Gene Yaw said the program is a crucial part of the commonwealth’s effort to improve the economy and provide affordable housing to residents.
