An Otsego County sex offender is arrested after authorities say he set up a fake Facebook account and contacted a child.
Deputies began their investigation back in December when a parent told them his child had been contacted online by Danny Horning, 30, of Worcester. He’s a level one sex offender, classified as low risk.
Investigators say Horning had set up the account under a false name and never registered it with the state Division of Criminal Justice Services as required by law.
Horning is now charged with failure to register as a sexual offender.
