The woman found guilty in connection with a murder in Schuyler county was sentenced Thursday morning. Alice Trappler will serve 25 years to life in prison. She was convicted of murder, burglary, and conspiracy in May for her role in the death of her child’s father, Daniel Bennett. Trappler’s ex-husband, Thomas Borden, was wanted for the actual shooting, as he is said to have been the one to pull the trigger. Borden was killed when he ran in front of a train while running from detectives near Philadelphia. Authorities say Trappler was the one who provided Borden with the murder weapon. Borden’s step-brother, Nathan Hand, is already serving 19 years in prison for his involvement in the crime.
