An arrest has been made in connection with the death of Crystal Bevier-Grobelny. The 31-year-old from Moravia was found dead over the weekend on West Dryden Road in the Town of Dryden. Deputies have arrested 36-year-old Arthur Basso, also of Moravia, and charged him with leaving the scene of an incident without reporting it, which is a felony. No additional charges have been filed at this time.
The victim’s Twitter account describes her as a single mother of a five-year-old. Basso was arraigned and sent to Tompkins County Jail. Bail was set at $20,000. The Tompkins County Sheriff’s office has not released any further details. The cause of death is still under investigation.
