A Kirkwood woman was convicted of murder Wednesday in Broome County Court.
22-year-old Ashley Carnevale was accused of aiding her husband, Anthony, in the January 2009 shooting death of Jean Clark. The two allegedly broke into Clark’s Windsor home looking to steal prescription pills. Besides Clark’s death, the couple was charged for the assault of Ethan Button inside the home.
23-year-old Anthony Carnevale pled guilty to murder and assault last year and is now serving 25 years to life in prison.
Besides the murder conviction, Ashley was also found guilty on counts of attempted assault and attempted robbery. She will remain in the Broome County Jail until she is sentenced in March.
