The Broome County Barons are no more.
The Federal Hockey League member has postponed the rest of their games after low attendance figures through their first 19 contests.
The Barons average attendance was only 314 through 11 games at the Chenango Ice Rink and many of those were given out for free.
The ownership group says they lost tens of thousands of dollars this month.
The FHL commissioner says three different communities have offered to house the Barons, two in Canada and one in New England. They hope to have a new home by early this week and finish out the season.
Broome County was one of six teams to start in this year’s reincarnation of the Federal Hockey League.
