The first Binghamton City budget to include a residential tax cut since 1998 was approved by council members last night. The recently approved 2017 Binghamton City budget would include a 0.25% tax decrease for residential tax payers, and a 0.84% tax decrease for commercial tax payers. Also included in the budget is $5.6 million to continue with Mayor David’s plan of repaving 15 miles of streets each year.
