39th annual Christmas is for Kids brings in over $66,000, tons of toys for local children

The 39th annual Christmas is For Kids was a huge success.

The holiday fundraiser and toy drive for the Sayre Salvation Army brought in over $46,000 during the three-hour broadcast on Choice 102 on Saturday.

Along with the money, four truck-loads of toys, including over 70 bicycles from the Williams Auto Group dealerships in the Valley, were also delivered to the Salvation Army.

Tanner’s Bar and Grill held its annual Christmas is for Kids party on Saturday afternoon, and between monetary donations and toys, the local business brought in over $20,600 for the cause.

In total, the 2024 Christmas is for Kids brought in more than $66,000 and a ton of toys for kids this year.

The Sayre Salvation Army will serve 234 families with food and toys this Christmas, including 343 children getting presents and 795 people receiving holiday food.

The 40th anniversary broadcast of Christmas is for Kids will be held on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025.
