Former Athens wrestling standout Derrick Morgan will take his place in the District 4 Wrestling Hall of Fame this weekend in Williamsport.
Morgan won a state championship for the Wildcats back in 2002 as he finished his senior year with a perfect 40-0 record.
He finished his high school career with a 115-19 record, including two North Section titles, two District 4 championships, one Northeast Regional crown and two medals in Hershey including his gold in 2002.
Morgan went on to wrestle for Lock Haven University, where he was a team captain and a 2006 NCAA Division I qualifier.
The Hall of Fame ceremony will be held before the finals on Saturday night at Williamsport High School.
