Athens man facing 10-27 years after sexual assault conviction

An Athens man could serve up to 27 years in state prison after being convicted of sexual assault and other charges in Bradford County Court.

According to the Bradford County District Attorney’s Office, 37-year-old Wayne Frederick Talada was sentenced to a minimum of 10 years to a maximum of 27 years after he was found guilty of two felony counts of sexual assault and one count of corruption of minors.

Talada committed the crimes in August of 2023.

He will have to register as a sex offender and will serve three years of probation following his release.
