Athens man sentenced to 45 months to 9 years for fatal crash

An Athens man could spend up to nine years in prison in connection with the death of a motorcyclist back in July of 2023.

According to the Bradford County District Attorney’s Office, 47-year-old Daryl A. Moore was sentenced to a minimum of 45 months to a maximum of nine years for involuntary manslaughter and aggravated assault by a motor vehicle.

Moore’s vehicle crossed over into the opposite lane of traffic and hit a motorcycle on North Rome Road in Sheshequin Township in July of last year.

The driver of the motorcycle was killed, and a passenger was injured.
