A benefit will be held this weekend in honor of a well-known local DJ and business owner.
Brian Lee Sargent, affectionately known as Sarge, passed away unexpectedly on June 28th.
Sarge was a longtime local DJ who recently followed his passion in the martial art of Muay Thai by opening Sargent Muay Thai in downtown Athens.
A benefit is scheduled for Saturday at Sam’s Bar and Grill in Sayre to help Sarge’s family with funeral costs.
There will be a Chicken BBQ, Live Music, a silent auction, 50-50 raffles and more.
The event will run from 1 to 4 p.m. at Sam’s Bar and Grill, located at 912 North Wilbur Ave. in Sayre.
