There will be three people on the general election ballot for Athens School Board Region 2, which covers Athens Township and Sheshequin, and has two seats open.
In the Republican primary, Dustin Bishop received 255 votes and Jay White picked up 180 votes to secure their spots on the general election ballot.
Karen Bradley won the Democratic primary with 164 votes, while Bishop received the second most votes on that ballot with 137.
Bishop, Bradley and White will now battle it out for two open seats in November.
Natalie Smart was running unopposed on both ballots for Athens School Region 1 (Athens Borough), and Michael Owen was unopposed in Region 3 (SRU).
In Sayre, Ron Cole was the only person on the primary ballot for school board. He will be on the general election ballot, but it’s unknown who will join him. Several people were running write-in campaigns and there are three other spots open for both parties.
There were 211 write-in votes on the Democratic side, while 288 Republicans cast write-in votes on Tuesday.
