Bradford County Jail inmate sentenced to 10-20 years for crimes against child

A man who is currently in the Bradford County Jail was sentenced to up to 20 years in prison for crimes against a child.

According to the Bradford County District Attorney’s Office, 23-year-old Chistopher Allen Smith-Keener was sentenced to a minimum of 10 years to a maximum of 20 years in prison for the crime of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.

Smith-Keener was arrested back in January after an investigation into an incident in Franklin Township involving a victim under the age of 16.

According to the DA’s office, Smith-Keener has an extensive criminal history, including a prior sex-related conviction when he was 19 and the victim was 14 in Tioga County, New York.

Smith-Keener is currently facing charges in New York for failing to register under New York’s version of Megan’s Law, theft and two burglaries.

He will also serve three years of probation following his release from prison.
