Finalists in the 2026 Bradford-Sullivan Counties Outstanding Young Woman program recently kicked off their summer activities with an ice cream social at St. Agnes School in Towanda. The group will take part in community events and other local experiences over the next few months in preparation for the 60th Annual Outstanding Young Woman program on September 27.
The organization encourages excellence while striving to promote self-confidence and build character. The participants – all high school seniors – are able to bond through their summer experiences whil preparing interviewing and public speaking skills before the fall pageant.
The program most recently awarded more than $15,000 in scholarship funds.
