A brush fire broke out at a property in Orwell Township on Monday.
According to The Daily Review, the Rome Township Fire Company responded to the fire at around 11:45 a.m. and it took about three hours to knock it down.
Firefighters from Rome, Windham Township, Warren Township and Wysox were able to keep the fire from spreading from the field to the surrounding trees or residence.
The blaze started when residents lost control of a garbage fire.
The fire departments used about 5,500 gallons of water to put out Monday’s fire.
