An elderly driver was killed in a head-on collision in Bradford County after crossing into the opposite lane. The Bradford County Coroner said Ivan Weaver of Wysox, was not wearing a seat belt while driving around a turn on State Route 6 in Standing Stone Township early yesterday afternoon. Weaver crossed the yellow line and veered into the path of a 2010 Dodge Ram, hitting the truck head-on. He was pronounced dead at the scene around 1 p.m. The vehicles were both severely damaged. The driver of the second vehicle, William Greenland of Towanda, was taken by ambulance to an area hospital.
Weaver died of blunt force trauma and his death has been ruled accidental, according to the coroner.
