The woman involved in the murder and dismemberment of Michael Pruitt in Springfield Township last March was sentenced in Bradford County Court last week.
According to the Wyalusing Rocket, 37-year-old Summer Heil was sentenced to nine months to three years in a state prison for helping dispose of the corpse.
Heil pled guilty to third-degree felony counts of hindering apprehension of prosecution – conceal or destroy evidence.
Heil, who is from Harrisburg, was given credit for 282 days of time served.
Heil was on parole for a 3-to-11 year prison sentence for two drug-related crimes at the time of the Pruitt murder. The State Parole Board has ordered her to return to state prison to serve at least one year of that previous sentence.
Terry and Ronda Parker are both facing criminal homicide and other related charges in connection with Pruitt’s death. Both are being held in the Bradford County Jail as they await trial.
