Longtime Sayre cross country coach Randy Felt will be taking his talents to the next level this fall.
Felt has stepped down as the Redskins’ coach to become the interim men’s and women’s cross country coach at Mansfield University.
The 1989 Mansfield University grad will lead the Mountaineer’s squad while the university continues to conduct a national search for a full-time cross country and track and field head coach.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Randy back to help our cross country program begin its season this fall. ‘Once a Mountie, Always a Mountie’ could not be more appropriate in this case,” Director of Athletics Peggy Carl stated. “We are grateful for his willingness to return to the mountain in support of our student-athletes.”
Felt has been the head cross country coach at Sayre since 1992. Assistant coach Doug Ault has taken over as Sayre’s head cross country coach.
