A Mississippi man has been arrested for allegedly pouring gas on a woman in Towanda last week.
According to police, 32-year-old Jeremany Washington has been charged with first-degree felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault.
Washington was allegedly involved in a verbal argument with the victim when he took a can of gas from his car and dumped it over the victim’s clothing while threatening to kill her.
When officers arrived, they observed puddles of gas on the ground and a strong odor of gas coming from the victim’s clothes.
Washington was remanded to the Bradford County Jail on $250,000 bail.
