An Owego man, who is currently in the Bradford County Jail, has been sentenced to 3 to 10 years in state prison after leading police on a high-speed chase last May.

According to Bradford County District Attorney Richard Wilson, 34-year-old Jory M. Ball received the state prison sentence for the charges of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, resisting arrest, driving under the influence of methamphetamine and criminal mischief.

Ball led Sayre police officers on a high-speed chase reaching speeds of 78 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone in May.

Numerous Valley police departments joined the chase, which resulted in one officer being injured when Ball rammed into the back of his police car.
